Mr. Daniel Reed is a Senior Project Manager/Consultant at Rimkus, a licensed consulting engineering firm that has been providing high-quality building inspections, structural engineering, project management, and expert witness services. Mr. Reed’s tenure with the firm since 2004 consistently exceeds his clients’ expectations with timely and professional services advocating projects as their owner’s representative. An expert in managing restoration projects, wood frame repairs, waterproofing, and roofing and coating evaluations, Mr. Reed was previously accredited by The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) as a certified Concrete Coating Inspector.

With over 40 years of experience in the engineering and construction fields, Mr. Reed has a wealth of knowledge and problem-solving skills and has been known to tackle highly problematic and challenging projects deemed “unfixable” by other engineers. He has provided services on a wide array of building types including single-family, multi-family/condominiums, commercial facilities, hospitals, theme parks, and military bases, for both new construction and restoration projects. Mr. Reed’s experience includes structures significantly damaged due to wood deterioration, reinforcement corrosion, stucco failures, coating failures, EIFS failures, water intrusion, roofing failures, and concrete failures. In addition, Mr. Reed has extensive experience with hurricane-damaged structures and has assisted in post-storm damage assessments, emergency repairs, reconstruction, insurance claim support, and cost analysis.

Mr. Reed provides contract administration, on-site field inspections, and consulting services to a wide range of clientele, including community associations, insurance adjusters, contractors, and attorneys. He has invaluable experience with sealants and waterproof coatings, and his waterproofing repertoire includes many luxury condominiums, which makes him a valuable owner’s representative.
