Mr. Declan Rogers’ responsibilities at Rimkus (formerly Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC) include the commissioning of new and existing buildings’ mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems; energy auditing; as well as semi-annual and special inspection smoke control testing.

Commissioning duties involve plan and submittal reviews, creation of pre-functional and functional testing procedures, MEP system testing, and drafting of final reports.  Issues found during testing are noted and corrected to ensure that systems operate per design.

Energy auditing includes the collection and analysis of a property’s energy usage and MEP system operation.  Using this information recommendations for ECMs are presented to the owner in order to improve building efficiency.  Energy consumption data is organized and submitted to applicable benchmarking platforms as required by local energy reporting ordinances.
