Erik A. Valle
Consultant / P.E., CXLT / San Antonio
Mr. Valle earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
His background as a project engineer and service-focused team leader has enabled him to develop positive rapport with clients and contribute to multi-million-dollar conventional design projects and complex, non-linear blast designs. His range of expertise includes conventional structural engineering/design for large institutional structures and non-linear blast design, and petrochemical and offshore accident investigations.
Mr. Valle’s structural design/analysis experience includes work with large, cast-in-place concrete and steel-framed structures, as well as reinforced masonry and wood-framed buildings. He has performed construction management reviews (including contract document preparation) and site visits to determine design feasibility, and has conducted quality control and structural integrity investigations. Mr. Valle has also designed structures to withstand non-linear blast loading for petrochemical clients and government agencies. His experience in blast design includes: glazing design for vehicle-borne explosive devices, design of control rooms for petrochemical environments, facility siting, offshore incident root cause analysis, finite element analysis, petrochemical accident investigation, testing of building articles with shock tube apparatus, and design of structures for high explosives.
Mr. Valle has additional experience in institutional structural design, as well as coordinating and scheduling multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. geotechnical, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing).
