Evan P. McConnell

Consultant / Atlanta / Birmingham

Background

Mr. McConnell holds a Master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Clemson University.  His areas of expertise include biomechanical analysis of injuries and human motion as well as medical device design and analysis.

Mr. McConnell utilizes biomechanical knowledge and accident reconstruction principles to analyze cases involving low-, moderate- and high-speed vehicle collisions.  He has extensive experience in using biomechanical tools and technologies to study kinematics and kinetics of many different injury populations.  He has analyzed devices such as functional knee braces and specific ankle taping strategies to determine their viability in assisting an injured person during injury rehabilitation.  Mr. McConnell has also studied functional performance before and after total joint replacement surgery and has designed a medical device for use in shoulder surgery.
