BACKGROUND:

As Vice President, Built Environment Technical Services, Mr. Mickey Parker is responsible for developing and maintaining the standard procedures, resources, and deliverables utilized throughout the Built Environment Solutions group. Mr. Parker also oversees the internal certification program used to expand the skills of the Built Environment staff and to share knowledge amongst our professionals companywide.

His more than 25 years of professional experience include performing forensic evaluations of buildings, providing roof and building envelope consulting services, and preparing structural engineering and building envelope designs. He has broad experience in all aspects of contract negotiation, planning, design, and construction. Mr. Parker has been involved in projects ranging in size from small offices to a 947,000-square-foot building with a budget of more than $650 million.

Mr. Parker’s structural design experience includes wood (light frame and timber), light-gauge steel, structural steel, masonry, and reinforced steel. In the realm of building enclosures, he has been the engineer of record on numerous envelope repair/restoration projects, and he has provided building enclosure consulting services for a wide variety of projects and clients. Mr. Parker has also been tested and certified as both a Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) and a Commissioning Authority + Building Enclosure (CxA+BE).

Mr. Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and is a registered professional engineer in six states.
