BACKGROUND:

Mr. James Avitabile has over 30 years of experience in the engineering design and construction fields and has been with Rimkus (formerly Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC [C3]) since its inception in 1990.  Mr. Avitabile has designed and managed over 50 million square feet of commercial, institutional, manufacturing, and biotechnology space.

Prior to joining Rimkus, Mr. Avitabile provided consulting engineering services to the facility departments of Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Wellesley College, where he specialized in developing and implementing energy conservation measures resulting in the savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars for these institutions.

As a Rimkus Director, Mr. Avitabile oversees and manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the company’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and information technologies design engineering practice areas and has spearheaded its growth from its two original members to approximately 40 full-time engineers, designers, and supporting staff. Together, they have completed designs and managed the installations for more than 50 million square feet of commercial, institutional, manufacturing, and bio-technology space.
