
BACKGROUND:
Mr. John Bauer holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management. He is also a registered professional engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Mr. Bauer has nearly 25 years in the automotive field. He developed a comprehensive knowledge of the automotive industry while serving several major OEMs as a Tier 1 supplier at BorgWarner, Morton International, and TRW. After designing engine components early in his career, Mr. Bauer dedicated over 20 years to automotive safety. He is an inventor or co-inventor of 11 U.S. patents of various safety restraint devices. Mr. Bauer is a published technical paper author and has been a featured speaker at events for SAE, an automotive professional society.
In addition, Mr. Bauer’s experience includes vehicle accident reconstruction and component failure evaluation. His area of expertise is automotive safety restraints, including seat belts and airbags.
