BACKGROUND:
Mr. John Sweeney is a specialist in diagnostics, cost analysis, and leak detection of roof/waterproofing systems on industrial commercial, institutional, residential, and historic buildings. His work often incorporates other aspects of the building envelope, especially regarding walls, below-grade waterproofing/dampproofing, and glazing. He also performs Quality Assurance work conducting routine review/observation site visits at refurbishment and replacement projects, as required. Mr. Sweeney worked for his family’s commercial roofing business in the 1980s, and he gained valuable experience as a labourer, giving him knowledge regarding sound roofing principles and practices.
A college education in Journalism provided Mr. Sweeney with a unique ability to articulate, in writing, complex and/or intangible elements, pertaining to a building’s condition, into clear and understandable terms for the layperson.
