Dr. Hassani holds a Ph.D. in Color Science from Rochester Institute of Technology as well as a B.Sc. in Polymer Engineering. Dr. Hassani’s doctoral research focused on perception of color in augmented reality environments and the impact of background and foreground color as well as lighting on the overall perception of color by individuals.
Dr. Hassani’s work assists clients with human factors issues involving vision and perception, specifically color vision, contrast and conspicuity, illumination, light perception, light adaptation, image processing, psychophysics and augmented reality. Dr. Hassani has evaluated accidents involving human behavior, motor vehicles, pedestrians, and slips, trips, and falls and investigated issues related to human behavior, visual and perceptual abilities; visibility and conspicuity; attention; decision-making; movement control, and reaction times.
Dr. Hassani’s work has involved using MATLAB, human vision, psychophysics, eye-tracking technology, augmented reality technology, illuminance and luminance meters, calorimeters, radiometers, and spectrophotometers.
