Mr. Sean Gillis’ major responsibilities at Rimkus (formerly Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC) include all topics and projects related to the commissioning of new and existing buildings, energy audits, semi-annual testing, and special inspections of high-rise smoke control systems.

This includes initial project inquiries, proposals, communicating with clients, and overall project management. Focused on verification and validation of engineered systems and ensuring efficient operation of the major energy-using equipment in a building through the utilization of advanced energy conservation strategies and regular system maintenance and verification. Other responsibilities include plan and submittal reviews, commissioning plan development, pre-functional and functional test procedures, functional testing, and reporting. Through performing various system tests, any deficiencies are noted, corrected, and then re-tested or backchecked to properly verify proper operation.
