Mr. Thomas Balutowski is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) Pro Board certified with the International Association of Arson Investigators, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI) with National Association of Fire Investigators. He is also a Certified Fire Investigator in the State of New York. These certifications were obtained while working as a Fire Investigator for the City of Providence, Rhode Island, Fire Department. Mr. Balutowski was a member of the Providence Fire Department for over 32 years, spending the last 5 years as a member of the Fire Investigation Unit as a fire and arson investigator. He has investigated 278 fires as the lead investigator.

Mr. Balutowski started his fire service career after serving in the U.S. Navy, where he received training in both shipboard and aircraft firefighting annually. As a member of the Providence Fire Department, he was NFPA 1001 Level I and II certified by the Rhode Island Fire Academy. He was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (basic). He was assigned to Engine Companies and Truck Companies.

Mr. Balutowski is a licensed master electrical contractor through the State of Rhode Island with a working knowledge of the current electrical code, pertaining to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both residential and commercial electrical systems and equipment. Also experienced in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
