Laurence has over 30 years of experience in commercial and project management in the construction industry with regulated and commercial companies alike. Laurence has been involved in all aspects of commercial management involving civils, water, oil and gas infrastructure, and renewable energy projects including pre-contract award work including contract strategy, work scope definition and invitation to tender document drafting, contractors tender preparation and management including risk and cost analysis, client tender analysis and post-tender negotiation including contract award, contract administration, and final account negotiations and settlement across a range of projects including SGN-regulated and commercial services businesses including a Turbo Expander project, significant mains replacement programmes, and multiple biomethane to grid projects nationally; commercial and contract management services in bespoke, IChemE, NEC3, and FIDIC forms of contract for multiple infrastructure, and oil and gas process contracts for both regulated clients and developers of green energy projects; full end-to-end procurement strategy, prequalification, and procurement support within both the regulated and commercial development sectors; project controls establishment, planning, programme management, and progress reporting, including the management of contractual/baseline programmes and affected “As Built” programmes; excellent knowledge of Change Control Systems and consequential effects; and strong understanding in the assessment and management of both risks and opportunities.

Laurence also has extensive experience in the construction sector of large-diameter high-pressure gas pipelines for Transco, infrastructure and aviation fuelling systems at various USAF bases for DEUSF, multi-utility installations for the London Olympics, terms contracts for water and gas R&M and mains replacement, as well as civil aviation systems at Heathrow and Manchester airports.
