BACKGROUND:

Mr. Richard Aeck is a Principal Building Envelope Consultant and is a Registered Architect for the state of New York, with extensive glazing and cladding system design experience for adaptive re-use, cultural, government, higher education, infrastructure, preservation, and restoration projects.  Mr. Aeck has 20 years of visual plus performance mockup design and testing experience as well as 5 years of building envelope design and consulting experience.

Highlights include working abroad in Italy and France to develop, model, and detail the Harvard Art Museum “Light Machine” sloped façades at RPBW in Genoa and many complex bridges and structural façades at RFR in Paris.  Since returning to the U.S., Mr. Aeck has enjoyed a MIT Building Technology research fellowship and served as Project Envelope Design Specialist or Consultant on notable projects including the USDOT Volpe “Transportation Systems Center” in Cambridge, the Columbia “University Forum” in New York, the LIRR “East End Gateway” in New York, the 529 Broadway “Nike Store” in New York, and the “Montgomery County Courthouse” in Philadelphia.
