Meet the Experts

Faran Ahmad has extensive expertise in human biomechanics, specifically related to orthopaedic biomechanics and orthopaedic medical devices. His primary consulting areas revolve around injury consistency biomechanics, accident reconstruction, and the examination of medical device failures. In his role as a forensic investigator, he conducts biomechanical analyses for cases involving low-speed accidents, falling objects, slip and falls, and other accidental occurrences. Matt Plotkin is an accident reconstructionist with four years of experience in motorsports engineering, where he served as a Technical Department Leader specializing in incident investigations, enforcement of rules/standards, and project management. He possesses broad experience in vehicle data analysis, mechanical parts failures, and high-speed vehicle accidents. Matthew Scheps is a licensed civil engineer with more than 10 years of industry experience in construction and engineering, including eight years of experience with general contractors in the project manager, project superintendent, and project engineer roles. He applies his expertise to preparing and responding to construction defect, accident, and cost analyses in litigation regarding complex construction projects. T’Andre Smith is a registered professional engineer with specialized experience in the structural design and evaluation of structures including multi-family residential, industrial warehouse, commercial, and mixed-use facilities. He also has extensive professional experience in the transportation industry involving the design and analysis of bridge structures. In his role as a forensic engineer, he conducts a variety of evaluations and investigations pertaining to determining the origin, cause, extent, and repairability of damage and/or failures to structural systems, building envelopes, in addition to building and bridge materials.
