Randall DeCastro, P.E.

Background

Mr. Randall DeCastro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of New York and is a Master Electrician with licenses for New York City, Suffolk County, the Town of Hempstead, the Town of North Hempstead, Valley Stream, and various villages located in Nassau County, Long Island.  In addition to his professional licenses, Mr. DeCastro holds many certifications.  He is certified to install grid-connected photovoltaic by the National Electrical Contractors Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and Mr. DeCastro is an Authorized NYSERDA Photovoltaic installer. Mr. DeCastro also holds certifications for fiber optics, data wiring, and EV charger design and installations.

Throughout his career, Mr. DeCastro has had a vast amount of experience designing, building, installing, and repairing a large variety of electrical systems for a customer base that included industrial, commercial, residential, aviation, educational, hospitality, municipalities, government agencies, and utilities.  Mr. DeCastro has also performed site surveys, feasibility studies, third-party inspections, damage and repair evaluations, and troubleshooting.  He has performed these services for many electrical systems, including power systems (both AC and DC); heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; lighting systems; control systems; fire alarm systems; building management systems; automated metering systems for electric, water, gas, and steam; photovoltaics; electric vehicle charging systems; transformers; rectifiers; fiber optic; data wiring; and many others.

Mr. DeCastro served on the Industrial Advisory Committee for Queensborough Community College and was on the Presidential Honors List for Academic Excellence at The New York Institute of Technology.
