Background

Mr. Allen Vaughan graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Vaughan’s professional background includes 13 years of accident reconstruction experience. He first started in the industry under the mentorship of Mr. Leonard Vaughan, who is known for being a founding member of the accident reconstruction at Texas DPS with over 40 years of experience in the field. He then worked under the mentorship of Mr. Bob Swint, known for being a “pioneer in human factors” and having over 50 years of experience in the field of accident reconstruction.

He possesses broad experience in the field of accident reconstruction that ranges from photo/videogrammetry, human factors, reconstruction analysis, vehicle data analysis, and crash analysis, among other areas of expertise. Mr. Vaughan has performed collision reconstruction and engineering analyses on over 1,000 automobile crashes and hundreds of boating incidents, including cases involving work zone crashes, commercial tractor/trailers, passenger vehicles, pedestrian accidents, bicycle and motorcycle collisions, and rollovers, and has testified as an expert witness at deposition and trial settings.
