Background

Mr. Mark Genenbacher has more than 25 years of experience in construction, project controls, contract management, risk engineering, and construction claims and disputes.  Mr. Genenbacher has provided consulting services, including Forensic Delay Analysis (FDA) and damage quantification, on hundreds of construction claims supporting contractors and owners, both domestic and abroad.

As a Principal Consultant, Mr. Genenbacher investigates and analyzes complex construction claims and establishes cause and effect relationships, as well as entitlement and quantum.  Mr. Genenbacher performs cost and schedule analyses on domestic and international projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, design-bid-build, EPC, and design-build work scopes.  Mr. Genenbacher is knowledgeable of common practices in the construction industry, such as estimating, contracting, risk analysis, project management, project administration, safety, schedule preparation and analysis, project controls, cost control, change management, and project close-out.

Mr. Genenbacher is experienced in matters involving FDA and all aspects of the AACEi and other Industry standards for FDA, including assessments utilizing As-Planned vs. As-Built, Contemporaneous Period Analysis, Half-Step Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, Collapsed As-Built Analysis, delay impacts, extended performance, lost productivity, disruptive impacts, extended general conditions, and liquidated damages.

Mr. Genenbacher has held leadership positions for several engineering and construction services firms.  He has successfully assisted clients with the resolution of numerous complex construction and engineering disputes, both domestic and abroad, with work scopes ranging from $1 million (M) USD to more than $2 billion (B) USD.

Mr. Genenbacher has served as a construction management, scheduling, and construction cost expert and has testified on project and construction management issues, as well as critical path delay, acceleration, schedule compression, disruption, construction costs, and damages in arbitration and state court.
