Gerald Rowden

Background

Mr. Gerald Rowden is a licensed Electrical Power Professional Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the design, analysis, and investigation of complex electrical, controls, and industrial systems. His work spans themed entertainment infrastructure, municipal water and wastewater facilities, industrial manufacturing systems, and large-scale electromechanical operations.

Mr. Rowden specializes in electrical and control system failure analysis, system reliability engineering, and forensic investigation of electrical incidents, including fire origin and cause, equipment failures, and construction-related defects. He has extensive experience evaluating system performance, identifying failure modes, and developing engineering opinions supported by technical analysis and industry standards.

His design and operational experience include low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, microprocessor-based and hardwired control systems, industrial automation, and Operational Technology (OT) networks supporting SCADA and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). He has led engineering design, performed complex troubleshooting, and implemented system improvements in safety-critical and high-reliability environments.

Mr. Rowden is experienced in applying and interpreting applicable codes and standards, including NFPA and NEC, and in communicating technical findings to both engineering and non-technical audiences. His background combines hands-on field experience with engineering analysis, supporting clear, defensible conclusions in both design and forensic contexts.
