Background
Mr. Bill Lawlor is an Accredited Accident Reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #5114). Mr. Lawlor has also been an officer with the City of Fairfax Police Department for the last 15 years. From 2017 until present, he has been assigned to the Traffic Services Section with responsibilities as a motor officer for traffic enforcement, crash investigation and reconstruction, and commercial motor vehicle inspections. During this time, Mr. Lawlor has investigated numerous motor vehicle crashes, including serious injuries and fatalities. He has also performed many level I commercial motor vehicle inspections.
Mr. Lawlor’s expertise includes motor vehicle crash reconstruction, with specialized training in motorcycles, pedestrians, bicycles, commercial motor vehicles, and human factors. He is also a Crash Data Retrieval technician and Event Data Recorder analyst. Mr. Lawlor has training and experience with 3D scanners, including FARO and Trimble. His commercial motor vehicle inspection training and experience include being certified in North American Standards Part A and B, General Hazardous Materials, and Tankers.
