Background
Mr. Tamer Abubakr holds a B.S. degree in Biomedical Science from Western Michigan University and an M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University, with a concentration in Impact Biomechanics. His experience includes injury biomechanics, anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs), vehicle safety, testing and validation, durability engineering, and data acquisition across automotive, electric vehicle, defense, and research environments.
His primary areas of consulting expertise include injury biomechanics, accident reconstruction, human injury causation, occupant kinematics, ATD development and testing, and vehicle safety. His current consulting work involves injury causation analysis in motor vehicle collisions; slip, trip, and fall incidents; falling objects; and other accidental events, including evaluation of occupant kinematics, seatbelt usage, airbag interactions, and injury potential.
Mr. Abubakr also has extensive hands-on engineering and leadership experience, having led multidisciplinary teams, developed advanced testing facilities, and directed automotive, motorcycle, small EV, and ATD testing programs. His combination of biomechanics expertise and practical engineering experience enables him to provide technical analysis and actionable conclusions for complex safety, injury, and engineering matters.
