Background

Mr. Derek Butcher is a registered Professional Engineer and licensed Mold Assessor. He has earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Florida.  He has a professional background in structural engineering, drafting, and repair of residential structures.  Mr. Butcher has experience working alongside home builders and general contractors constructing homes from the ground up.

Mr. Butcher’s area of expertise includes property evaluations on residential and commercial buildings, including foundations, framing, interior/exterior finishes, roofing, building envelopes, plumbing, building settlement, hurricane and wind damage, moisture intrusion, concrete and stucco failures, structural failures and collapses, and construction defects.

Mr. Butcher is a state-certified Mold Assessor, in which indoor air quality issues are assessed for potential contamination in residences and mitigation is designed and implemented.
