Background
Mr. Gary Dault holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with a technical emphasis on structural engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states and has over 20 years of consulting engineering experience.
Mr. Dault’s extensive professional civil engineering experience includes design, analysis, and construction administration of projects including industrial, commercial, and residential structures, and inspection and design of municipal buildings, bridges, and roadways. He also has over 15 years of experience in building envelope systems, including curtain wall, storefront, and skylight design, analysis, fabrication, installation, and consulting. His building envelope systems experience includes the design and development of both standard and custom curtain wall systems, as well as full-scale mockup testing and calculations of system designs.
As a forensic engineer, he has responded to, performed, and managed various damage assessments following numerous catastrophic events including tropical storm systems, floods, tornadoes, structure fires, and wildfires. He has evaluated foundation failures; structural deficiencies; structural impact damage; investigations involving thermal imaging; roofing system failures; retaining wall distress; floor finish failures; pool failures; construction defects; and investigation and analysis on premises liability assignments, including paths of travel, construction contract compliance, overall code, and ADA compliance, as well as slip-and-falls, and trip-and-falls.
Mr. Dault has conducted numerous water source cause and origin investigations for residential and commercial properties. He has also performed multiple vibration-related assignments following construction activities, as well as numerous geotechnical investigations related to karst activity and the extent of damage and repair of structures affected by sinkholes.
