Background

Mr. Renz Reyes has over 10 years of experience in engineering design and consulting and is a registered professional engineer in the state of New York.  He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Mr. Reyes’ professional structural engineering experiences include design, analysis, and construction administration of projects including low- to mid-rise buildings, such as commercial buildings, schools, and hospitals; two- to three-story houses; retaining walls; mass transit stations, below ground, above ground, and elevated; and tenant improvement projects.  He has design experience with steel and concrete structures as well as remediation design of such structures. He also has design experience with timber and wood framing and light steel framing.

Mr. Reyes has been involved in the design renovation, remediation, and construction of damaged single- and multi-family residences. He has experience working on design-build projects that have challenging schedules and design demands. He has knowledge of codes such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI, and NDS and has extensively used them in his design experiences. He has experience in the evaluation and inspection of existing structures of commercial and residential buildings, retaining walls, parking garages, and façade supports. He also has extensive experience with drafting using AutoCAD and Revit. He is a qualified parking structure inspector (QPSI) in New York City.
