Chris Campbell, BSc (Hons), MSC, NEC3, MRICS
Director, Quantity Surveying and Contracts Management

Background
Chris is an experienced Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor with over 25 years of experience working on major projects in the highways, rail, airports, industrial engineering, civil engineering, and building sectors.
Before joining Rimkus Project Services, Chris worked for major organisations, including Jacobs, George Corderoy & Co, and Rex Proctor & Partners, providing consultancy services to clients in both the public and private sectors.
Much of his experience has been gained delivering commercial functions that are part of multi-disciplined teams embedded across client portfolios delivering multibillion-pound major programmes of works. These included smart motorways, new dual carriage ways and junction improvements for National Highways, bus and train station improvements for First Group, and more recently, working with National Grid on its infrastructure programme.
At all stages of the project lifecycle, Chris is well versed in providing commercial solutions to challenging issues on high-profile major projects in commercially sensitive environments.
Chris has been exposed to all stages of the project lifecycle from business cases, feasibility studies, master planning, through procurement and stage gate reviews to all post contract negotiations, closure and settlement procedures including dispute management and avoidance.
Chris’ experience extends across cost planning, procurement, cost and claims management, cost and change control, budgetary reporting, measurement and evaluation, and the appraisal and analysis of entitlements and claims. Further, his experience includes leading commercial teams on major projects, administration and preparation of various forms of contracts (including NEC3/4 and pre- and post-contract commercial management of the NEC3/4), and the commercial delivery of major programmes of works in a public sector environment.
