Background

Mr. Scott Nunnery is a graduate from the University of Colorado school of Environmental Design, where he earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree with emphasis in architecture and planning. As a registered architect in Colorado, Idaho, and Utah, he has over 30 years of architectural building, site, and large-scale development design, planning, and construction experience with many project types including custom-single and multi-family residential, resort, commercial, institutional, and historic renovation projects.

Mr. Nunnery is also highly experienced in all phases of design and construction management, including conceptual and schematic programming, construction drawings and specifications, and construction observation and documentation administration. Mr. Nunnery has worked extensively with civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical design engineers to deliver building and site designs and incorporate building functionality, performance and efficiency, and life-safety.

His forensic practical proficiency includes building code analysis, design and construction deficiency assessments, existing conditions analysis, property condition assessments, premises liability matters and evaluations including slip, trips and falls, design and accessibility analysis, water and moisture intrusion investigations, building envelope failures, foundation and slab movement, weather damage assessments including insurance appraisals, damage scope and repair valuations, and A/E standard of care for commercial and residential properties. He also has considerable experience in alpine climate design and construction.

Mr. Nunnery has presented to attorneys, insurance claims adjusters, and peers, and has been retained as an expert witness, providing deposition and trial testimony regarding matters of premises liability, construction defect, and design professional standard of care.
