Background

Mr. Jack Hatton spent 20 years in law enforcement with the West Sacramento Police Department, of which 12 years were as a Motor Officer and Accident Investigator with the Traffic Division. He investigated or reviewed thousands of non-injury, injury, and fatal collisions involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, pedestrians, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and bicycles. He is also an accredited Accident Reconstructionist with the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists.

During his law enforcement career, Mr. Hatton served in several roles including Certified Motorcycle Instructor, a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), and Lead Investigator for Major Accident Investigations, including Rapid Response deployments. His training and experience include, but are not limited to, collision site and vehicle inspections, Crash Data Retrieval imaging and analysis, airbag module imaging, and motorcycle dynamics.
