We are pleased to announce our participation in the upcoming ICC-YAAF: Mastering Technical Aspects in Energy Disputes event on 1 October and the ICC/AIEN Conference on Dispute Resolution in the Energy Business from 2 – 3 October, both taking place in Rio de Janeiro.
Melissa de Oliveira, Rimkus Associate Director and Quantum Expert, will join the panel discussion titled “Boundaries between counsel and technical experts ”, where she will share her insights on expert testimony in complex energy disputes. The session will explore the relationship between legal teams and expert witnesses in arbitration and litigation, with a focus on how roles are defined.
This ICC YAAF breakfast event aims to provide a space for meaningful exchange between young arbitrations practitioners, who regularly act in energy disputes involving the use of technical expertise, to discuss issues relating to expert evidence in energy disputes, with insights from young experts, lawyers, and arbitrators.
