Background
Mr. Probst holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Structural Engineering. He is also a registered professional engineer in Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
Mr. Probst has extensive experience in structural and civil engineering design on a range of projects including hydraulic steel structures, bridges, electrical substations, dams, locks, levees, and cranes as well as commercial structures.
As a structural engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he worked extensively on unique hydropower-house and lock and dam repair designs and conducted numerous inspections. He served as the Bridge Program Manager for the Little Rock District and inspected more than 100 bridges. He also has considerable experience performing inspections of bridge cranes.
Mr. Probst participated in a number of technical review teams for new construction of the improved flood protection systems upstream of New Orleans, LA. He volunteered to serve with the USACE Urban Search and Rescue Team and developed the skills to evaluate fallen structures, determine cause of failure, and design shoring for unstable elements to provide a safe ingress/egress path for other first responders. He currently serves as the Structures Specialist for Arkansas Task Force 1.
