Andrew Evert

Background

Mr. Andrew Evert holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.S. degree in Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.

With over 10 years of experience in vertical transportation, Mr. Evert can assist in projects involving elevators, wheelchair lifts, dumb waiters, and hydraulic lifts.  This includes cases involving water damage, personal injury, component malfunction, improper maintenance, and improper usage.  Working at ThyssenKrupp/TK Elevator, Mr. Evert has designed and assisted in the installation and maintenance of elevators, as well as extensive product testing and qualification, reviewing code compliance, and troubleshooting elevator systems to establish root cause failure analysis. This includes the review of costs related to elevator repairs.

Mr. Evert has over 10 years of direct experience in the design and testing of elevators and escalators. He worked for 5 years on research projects and new product designs while at ThyssenKrupp/TK Elevator, including TK Elevator’s patented Residual Strength Detection Device for belted traction elevators. Mr. Evert also has 5 years of experience leading the qualification and code compliance testing for new MRL traction and MRL hydraulic elevators. He oversaw the installation and compliance testing of new elevator products for both traction and hydraulic elevators in both new installation and modernization markets, as well as the troubleshooting and repair of elevators damaged during the course of testing.
