
Background
Mr. Austin Cain holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and is a registered professional engineer in Tennessee. He has 7 years of experience in the design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. He has been active in every stage of building design from conceptual design to final occupancy and maintenance.
Mr. Cain’s design experience covers a wide array of building types and industries, including multi-family, retail, food service, institutional, healthcare, and sports and entertainment. He is experienced in the design of a variety of system types, including chilled water systems, hot water systems, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS), refrigerant-based direct expansion systems, desiccant dehumidification systems, and others.
Mr. Cain has inspected and diagnosed deficiencies in HVAC systems, including equipment malfunctions, improper installations, humidity and temperature issues, and design deficiencies. Mr. Cain also provides vehicle accident reconstruction services, including Event Data Recorder (EDR) (black box) downloads on passenger vehicles and mechanical inspections of braking, steering, and suspension systems.
