Brad Michaelis

Background

Mr. Brad Michaelis is an innovative Principal Electrical Engineering manager with an extensive 30+ years of MEP experience in commercial, industrial, medium- and low-voltage design, and project management. He brings significant experience with NYCHA, MTA Rail, PANYNJ, and other city agencies. He is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant mission-critical infrastructure and facilities operations and engineering. Mr. Michaelis has experience with management of assets, resources, and teams essential for critical planning and optimization of projects ranging from aviation to critical facilities and healthcare. Mr. Michaelis works with his team to be responsible for the standardization of best practices.

Mr. Michaelis plays an integral role in the formation and implementation of capital plans regarding engineering and infrastructure upgrades, plans for new buildings, building systems, and central plants. He is also responsible for ensuring that capital and operating budget planning and prioritization, design and construction, and accountability mechanisms are seamlessly coordinated.

Mr. Michaelis is experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers and solution architects and is experienced with creating and managing budgets up to $10 million+, as well as experienced in renewable energy designs and applications. Mr. Michaelis brings experience with medium-voltage substation design and grounding, as well as short circuit and ARC flash analysis. And lastly, he brings experience with successfully designing, managing, maintaining, and commissioning of cogeneration, mechanical, and HVAC control systems throughout the Northeast area.
