
Background
Mr. Brian Rudge has a Bachelor of Science in Fire, Arson, & Explosion Investigation from Eastern Kentucky University. He is a certified National Association of Fire Investigators Certified Fire and Explosions Investigator, International Code Council (ICC)/National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Inspector 1, and International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Fire Instructor II.
He has over 18 years within the fire service, ranging from volunteer, military, and career departments. He is a veteran, having served 4 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, and has held positions in the fire service from Fire Fighter, Engineer, Acting Captain, Logistics Chief, and Fire Investigation Leader.
Mr. Rudge’s expertise in fire origin and cause comes from being a line firefighter for 18 plus years. He has reviewed and completed all of the Bozeman Fire Department’s investigations from 2021 through 2025.
