Daniel A. Cross

Background

Mr. Daniel Cross is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer and a certified mold assessor in the state of Florida.  He has education, training, and experience in the design, development, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and plumbing systems.  He has extensive experience in the design and evaluation of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and also has extensive experience in performing moisture evaluations for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.  Additional forensic experience includes vehicle fire investigation and electrical evaluations, accident reconstruction for passenger and commercial vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle component failure analysis and insurance fraud/consistency evaluations, and crash data retrieval (CDR) of passenger and commercial vehicle engine control module (ECM).

Mr. Cross’ experience with fire investigation origin and cause evaluations includes extensive gas training that allows for the evaluation of gas and gas control systems.  His experience also includes extensive electrical experience, which also allows for evaluation of the cause of fire events as it relates to the electrical as well as mechanical systems.

Mr. Cross has been designated as an expert witness and has testified in state and municipal courts in Florida, Missouri, and New York as an expert witness in construction defect evaluations, moisture source evaluations, forensic engineering, vehicle mechanics, accident reconstruction, and building design.
