Background
Ms. Elyse Marks has a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University (2010) and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University (2012). Ms. Marks has nearly 15 years of experience in architectural restoration and the preservation of historic and landmarked structures across New York City (NYC) and the greater metropolitan area. Her primary areas of proficiency include façade restoration and historic building documentation, as well as architectural materials evaluation and structural and material repair. Primary responsibilities include running full-scale restoration projects from contract signing through close-out, with a concentration on construction administration in the field, identifying sources of building failure and determining repair techniques. Ms. Marks also has extensive experience in filing with the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC), including coordination with the LPC on permitting, approvals, and execution of an extensive array of façade restoration work.
