Mr. Fernando Nunez graduated from the University of Florida and obtained a Bachelor of Design and Master of Architecture degree. He has been a registered architect in the State of Florida since 2003 and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Throughout his career, he has worked collaboratively with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers to ensure the implementation of design standards, functionality, constructability, and life-safety components into a variety of structures and project types.
With over 25 years of experience in South Florida, Mr. Nunez is proficient in project management and construction observation, particularly in the technical assessment of design- and permit-related documentation and constructed facilities. His comprehensive knowledge includes design analysis, construction practices, building regulations, governing authorities, and a clear understanding of the performance and potential failure mechanisms of building systems arising from design deficiencies, construction defects, or inadequate upkeep.
His expertise lies in investigating design and construction matters, implementing analytical and problem-solving skills. The focus being to provide technical insight in dispute resolution while formulating practical solutions to correct deficiencies. Through careful diagnosis and remediation of underlying issues, he endeavors to improve building safety, performance, and longevity.
As a tenured architect in the local industry, Mr. Nunez’ proficiency in life safety and NFPA codes extends beyond allowing for safe egress of a building’s occupants, but also to protect a building’s structure and contents in the event of a fire, and limiting its ability to spread to adjacent properties. His roles in evaluating the configuration, specifications, and construction of the interior environment and architectural fire and smoke protection features for buildings have played a critical role in their overall fire safety performance.
