Background

Mr. Gerson Velasquez is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas with over seven years of extensive experience in design, construction and forensic engineering. He has worked as a design engineer and, project manager, in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) industry, as well as land development in the civil engineering industry. He has successfully completed projects across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and government, spanning Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arkansas, demonstrating his proven ability to navigate diverse regulatory and project environments. Mr. Velasquez’s experience includes developing construction documents, specifications, and control schematics to ensure compliance with code regulations and industry standards.

As a forensic mechanical engineer, Mr. Velasquez specializes in investigating mechanical system failures and providing expert analysis to assist in dispute resolution. Mr. Velasquez’s areas of competency are in mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) plumbing, hydrology and fire protection system , vehicle mechanical failures, forklifts, manlifts, machinery products and tools, evaluations of industrial and manufacturing facilities, product liability, product failure, and premises liability. Additionally, Mr. Velasquez is certified as a Part 107 remote drone pilot and crash data retrieval technician.

Mr. Velasquez graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an M.B.A. in Ethical Leadership from Schreiner University. Mr. Velasquez also conducted special studies with the University of Texas at San Antonio on non-destructive evaluation and corrosion engineering.
