Background

Mr. Jack Burkhardt received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College in 2011. He is a licensed professional engineer with a broad background of knowledge in mechanical engineering in commercial and residential construction. As a forensic engineer, he has provided consulting services for legal, insurance, and corporate clients in both plaintiff and defendant matters.

His professional background consists of over 10 years of experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, project management, construction management, and forensic engineering. Mr. Burkhardt has analyzed and determined the causations of mechanical component failures of consumer products, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems. He has also investigated incidents and accidents related to equipment use and safety.

Mr. Burkhardt’s technical evaluations of equipment failures include a variety of commercial and residential air conditioning systems and associated piping and ductwork, fire suppression systems, building envelope leaks, and refrigeration systems. His forensic experience includes investigating oil-fired boilers and furnaces, indoor air quality issues, kitchen hoods and cooking equipment, natural gas explosions, and product liability evaluation and testing of items such as electric cooktops, lawnmowers, and overhead rolling doors.
