Background

James Harvey is an Associate Director at Rimkus, specialising in forensic delay analysis for the assessment of Delay-in-Start-Up (DSU) and Business Interruption (BI) claims.

James has nearly 20 years of planning experience over a wide range of sectors, including oil & gas, power, renewables, property and infrastructure, including major complex losses in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.  He began his career as a Planning Engineer and Project Controls professional delivering expert planning and scheduling to support the delivery of offshore installation, decommissioning and fabrication projects. His work combines analytical rigour with practical insight, enabling clients to navigate complex claim environments with confidence.

James has extensive technical expertise in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project and other leading planning tools, with a strong emphasis on delay analysis and project performance monitoring.
