Background
Mr. Jose Jarquin holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on solid mechanics and materials from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Mr. Jarquin worked as a graduate student researcher for the Thermal and Fluid Systems Laboratory at CSULA, where his research focused on thermal dissipation solutions for high heat flux electronic devices. His research and undergraduate senior design project focused on the design and optimization of the rear suspension components for the UCI Baja SAE vehicle.
Mr. Jarquin has performed accident reconstructions and engineering analyses on hundreds of collisions involving passenger vehicles, pedestrians, commercial heavy vehicles, motorcycles, and micromobility devices. His engineering focus includes vehicle and site inspections utilizing laser measurements, event data recorder access and interpretation, crash testing, re-enactments, visibility studies, traffic signal analysis, video analysis, vehicle dynamics, rollover dynamics, and mechanical failure analysis.
