Laurence Rimmer, BSc

Background

Laurence has over 35 years of experience in commercial and project management in the construction industry with regulated and commercial companies alike.

Before joining Rimkus Project Services in 2010, Laurence gained extensive experience in the construction sector managing large diameter high-pressure gas pipeline projects for Transco, infrastructure and aviation fuelling systems at various USAF bases for DEUSF, multi-utility installations for the London Olympics, repair and maintenance term contracts in the water and gas sectors, as well as a wide range of infrastructure projects in the water, private development, and aviation sectors.

With Rimkus Project Services, Laurence has been involved in all aspects of commercial management within civils, water, oil and gas infrastructure, and renewable energy projects, including pre-contract award contract strategy, work scope definition, and invitation to tender document drafting, tender analysis and negotiation leading to contract award.

Laurence has established and managed teams across multiple projects delivering a wide range of commercial and contract management services in bespoke, IChemE, NEC, and FIDIC Forms of Contract for infrastructure, oil and gas, and process for both regulated clients and developers of green energy projects. This has included the establishment of project controls incorporating planning, programme management, progress, and operational performance reporting.

Laurence has excellent knowledge of project control systems with a foundation of experience in both the client and contractor environments to provide a strong understanding in the assessment and management of both project and commercial requirements, risks, and opportunities.
