Background
Dr. Luigi Piarulli is a mechanical and biomedical engineer with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. He has extensive expertise in orthopedic biomechanics, mechanical system evaluation, CAD design, finite element analysis (FEA), computational simulations, and dynamic mechanical testing. Dr. Piarulli has been involved in experimental testing and computational modeling of human joint biomechanics and design validation of medical and mechanical systems. His background includes experience with mechanical systems testing, 3D modeling and additive manufacturing, and statistical data analysis using MATLAB and Python. He has completed coursework in statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, engineering design, biomechanics, medical devices design, and finite element methods. Dr. Piarulli’s forensic engagements include accident reconstruction, injury biomechanics, and failure analysis.
