Background
Mr. Luke Sharara holds a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree in Construction Engineering. He has extensive project management experience in the residential and commercial sectors, taking projects from schematic design, design development, permitting, contract document development, to construction completion. He has designed and supervised the construction of commercial and residential structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
Mr. Sharara is also experienced in scheduling, contract administration, construction management, field investigation, cost estimation, project budgeting, and cost control. He has designed and supervised the construction of banks, medical clinics, retail stores, pre-engineered metal buildings, and large residential projects. He has also designed and supervised residential subdivision development, including storm drainage, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems.
Mr. Sharara has experience in performing forensic investigations and analysis of structures for moisture/water intrusion, construction defects, construction accidents, structural engineering analysis, building envelope failures, concrete and masonry cracking, and retaining wall failures. He has performed investigations to identify sinkhole activity and to determine the extent of the damage to structures underlain by sinkholes. He has investigated flooring failures, building settlements, and structural collapses. Mr. Sharara is experienced in various aspects of construction claims and disputes related to construction defects, design errors or omissions, and general contractor and subcontractor disputes.
Mr. Sharara has performed numerous premises liability evaluations. He is experienced in building code compliance and applicable safety-related standards across a wide variety of venues and settings. Mr. Sharara has evaluated structures for wind, hail, fire, hurricane, tornado, flooding, vibration blasting, construction equipment vibrations, and earthquake damage.
