
Background
Mr. Marshall Krotenberg holds degrees in Agriculture – Soil and Water Science and Toxicology/Industrial Hygiene from the University of Arizona. Mr. Krotenberg is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional with more than 35 years of diverse work experience that includes manufacturing, government services, consulting, and regulatory enforcement.
Since the early 1980s, Mr. Krotenberg has been involved in the evaluation and control of a wide range of hazards causing or capable of causing serious workplace and environmental health risks. Mr. Krotenberg specializes in the evaluation and control of chemical, biological, and physical hazards associated with public places and workplaces. His primary areas of consulting expertise include accident investigation, hazard recognition, risk assessment, risk mitigation, and regulatory obligations.
Mr. Krotenberg has also performed evaluations of residential, commercial, and industrial building construction work, including procurement, contracting, contract management, specifications and drawings, building codes, construction defects, and related disputes.
Mr. Krotenberg has served as an expert for matters including, but not limited to, fall protection, scaffolding, elevated work platforms, ladders, working/walking surfaces, machine guarding, material handling, industrial trucks, cranes and hoists, confined spaces, excavations, electrical hazards, control of hazardous energy (i.e., lockout/tagout), flammable/explosive materials, toxic and hazardous chemicals, biohazards, air quality, mold, allergens, illicit drugs, personal protective equipment, respirators, noise, moisture intrusion, structural and wildfire smoke and soot, building restoration, consumer products, emergency egress, illumination, and slip-trip-fall. In addition, Mr. Krotenberg has developed, managed, and led portions of industrial hygiene, safety, and ergonomic workplace performance systems in industrial and municipal settings and has served as an OSHA compliance expert.
