Background

Mr. MJ Kang holds a B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, and a M.E. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and California.

Mr. Kang has over 7 years of experience in designing and analyzing the structural performance of various building envelope systems, including unitized curtain walls, stick-built walls, hybrid walls, punched windows, wood curtain walls, skylights, metal panels, copings, soffits, fins, and cold-formed steel framings for exterior panels. He also has design experience with handrails and glass guardrails for residential buildings and universities. From preliminary design to system die development, performance mockup design evaluation, revisions during fabrication, and field fix during construction, he has consulted clients with cost-efficient design solutions for building envelope systems. Representative design projects include high-rise multi-use towers, commercial buildings, residential buildings, universities, and hospitals. He is experienced in using FEM software in the analysis and design of aluminum, ACM panels, steel, and glass.
