Background

Mr. Peter Lukacs is a Registered Architect with more than 15 years of combined experience in architectural design, building consulting, and the forensic evaluation of existing structures. He holds a Master of Architecture degree with a concentration in sustainable design from Judson University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Lukacs is licensed to practice architecture in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas. He is also a Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) through the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), demonstrating advanced qualifications in the evaluation, design, and performance of roofing and building enclosure systems.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lukacs has provided architectural design, consulting, investigation, and evaluation services for a diverse range of building types and occupancies. His professional design experience includes the preparation of construction documents, restoration and repair design, permitting, project management, construction administration, and life safety and accessibility design. His project portfolio includes single-family and multifamily residential developments, restaurants, retail facilities, pharmaceutical and laboratory buildings, office spaces, warehouses, storage facilities, and mixed-use properties.

In addition to his architectural design background, Mr. Lukacs has extensive experience providing forensic architectural and building consulting services to property owners, insurers, attorneys, contractors, and developers. His consulting practice includes property loss consulting, premises liability and security evaluations, building envelope failure investigations, accessibility compliance evaluations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Fair Housing Act (FHA), hygrothermal analysis of wall and roof assemblies, property condition assessments, code compliance evaluations, and architectural peer review of new and existing facilities.

Mr. Lukacs routinely investigates and evaluates building performance issues involving moisture intrusion, building envelope distress, accessibility compliance, code-related matters, and property damage.
