Rajan Rekhi

Background

Mr. Rajan Rekhi has 30 years of experience in project management, engineering management, topsides engineering, and structural engineering of offshore platforms and onshore structures.  Relevant work with offshore structures includes shallow water and deep water, drilling and production, oil and gas fixed and floating platforms/structures; spars (classic, cell, and truss spars), semi-submersibles, jack-up rigs, drilling rigs, fixed platforms/jackets, compliant towers, and topsides decks for fixed and floating platforms, including floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSOs)/ship-shaped structures.  Relevant work with onshore structures includes bridges, transmission towers, pipe racks, exhaust stacks, equipment skids, and miscellaneous refinery and industrial structures.  Mr. Rekhi has worked on all project phases, inlcuding RandD, pre-front end engineering design (FEED)/conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering, transportation, installation and construction support, and business development and proposals.  He has working experience with both Greenfield and Brownfield projects.  Mr. Rekhi holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Graduate coursework in Mechanical and Structural Engineering.  He is a licensed structural professional engineer in Texas.

Mr. Rekhi also has experience in structural forensics engineering and windstorm inspections on residential and commercial buildings (wood and metal), including roofs.  Commercial building inspections include warehouses, small manufacturing units, daycare centers, office buildings, shops, restaurants, and shopping complexes and strip centers.  Roof type inspections include, but are not limited to, asphalt shingles (3-tab and architectural), metal, clay, modified-bitumen, PVC, tar and gravel, and TPO roofs.  Experience also includes FEMA disaster recovery and emergency management efforts in Florida and Puerto Rico.

Experience working with major international EPC/EPCI companies as well as operator and oil and gas companies, including management of EPC contractors as owner’s representative. Used state-of-the-art technologies working on world-class multibillion-dollar projects located worldwide.  Provided construction support and third-party reviews and verifications.
