Background

Mr. Raymond Franks is a licensed general contractor, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a licensed insurance adjuster with expertise in construction means and methods, contracts, estimating and scheduling, construction project management, and disaster recovery.

Mr. Franks has over 26 years of construction experience including extensive work on project take-offs and cost estimating, scheduling, safety, contracts, documentation, supervision, and management. He has examined hundreds of sets of plans and specifications along with the associated documents and contracts. As a former owner of a general contracting and consulting firm, he is intimately aware of the business of construction and the relationship between the parties. His experience in CAT reconstruction allowed him to provide building consulting services for large losses resulting from hurricanes, floods, and fires throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico to insurance carriers and adjustment firms. His project experience spans many market sectors to include hotels, restaurants, banking, educational, class A office, retail, manufacturing, call centers, IT facilities, religious, and warehouses. He has direct project management experience in commercial construction projects both ground-up and renovation.

Mr. Franks’ forensic investigation experience extends to building assessment; construction defects; review of construction contracts, budgets, and schedules; construction means and methods; relationship/responsibility of parties to include owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers; cost estimating; fire, hurricane, and wind damage; and envelope failure.
