
Background
Mr. Ronnie Williams holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
With over 30 years of experience, he specializes in architectural, structural, and civil engineering with emphasis on design, construction, and performance evaluation of residential and commercial buildings. As the owner of several businesses, Mr. Williams has experience in residential and light commercial heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) systems; residential single- and multi-family building remodeling and rentals; governmental contracting and funding distribution; and retail product sales and manufacturing.
Mr. Williams’ areas of expertise include evaluation of building codes and permitting, civil site and architectural design, synthetic and mineral soil pond liners, construction inspection and observation, construction field staking, as-built documentation, cast-in-place concrete walls and footings, subsurface investigations and classification, groundwater intrusion, building envelope design and evaluation, and wood-framed structures.
Mr. Williams has performed design work and prepared construction plans and contract documents, including general notes, specifications, and inspection requirements. He has also provided construction administrative services such as cost estimates, shop drawing reviews, preparing addendums to contract documents, answering requests for information from contractors, and providing quality control/special inspection reports to evaluate if the design intent was met on site. Mr. Williams has knowledge in design, analysis, and planning, site feasibility planning, testing of materials, architectural components, and soil mechanics.
Mr. Williams has extensive design and permitting experience working on many types of projects, ranging from large agricultural facilities to smaller residential and commercial property structural modifications and repairs. He has developed governmental construction practice standards and design procedures as well as written ordinances and compliance documents relating to stormwater, construction defects, foundation design and repairs, and participated in design and construction disputes and resolutions.
