Background
Mr. Steven Hess is a Certified Fire Investigator with the International Association of Arson Investigators. He retired from the fire service in 2023 after more than 26 years of service, achieving the rank of Fire Captain, and completing his career as a member of the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team. Mr. Hess more than 20 years of fire investigation experience, determining the origin and cause of incidents involving residential structures, commercial structures, and vehicle fires. He has been a licensed paramedic for 33 years, advancing through the ranks of Firefighter/Paramedic, Fire Apparatus Engineer, and Fire Protection Specialist, specializing in oil field operations.
Mr. Hess has served as the lead investigator on more than 450 fires involving arson, injuries, fatalities, and fraud.
