Background

Mr. Scott Nunnery is a registered architect with a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree. He has more than 40 years of experience in architectural design, including 26 years in design practice and 14 years in forensic investigations related to premises liability, accessibility, design and construction defects, property damage evaluations, and architect standard of care. Mr. Nunnery is a registered architect in three states.

Mr. Nunnery has experience in planning, design, and construction of many project types, including residential, resort, commercial, institutional, and historic renovations. He has expertise in all phases of design and construction administration and documentation, from contracts and conceptual programming through to construction close out. His forensic expertise includes life safety, building code, and accessibility analysis, including the ADA, design assessments, property condition assessments, premises security, premises liability matters including slips, trips, and falls, surveillance video analysis and applications, liability matters involving ice and snow including its removal and management, complete building envelope investigations and analysis that includes water intrusions and moisture damage, window unit evaluations and window installation practices, property damage scope identification, and damage repair valuations. Serving the Rocky Mountains, western plains, and generally, the western regions of the United States, Mr. Nunnery is experienced in alpine climate design, construction, and evaluation. Mr. Nunnery has presented to attorneys, insurance claims adjusters, and peers on many of these topics. He has served as an expert witness, providing deposition and trial testimony on matters of premises liability, design and construction defects, property damage evaluations, and architect standard of care.
